Our very own Dr. Steinberg of Woodburn Pediatric Clinic received an honorable mention for the 2018 Rural Health Hero awards!
The Rural Health Hero award:
Recognizes an individual, provider, practice or community for making a distinguished, unique or exceptional contribution to improving the quality of life for rural Oregonians. Criteria may include going above and beyond expected job responsibilities, outstanding volunteerism, sustained and successful commitment to a particular issue or issues affecting rural health care, and long term impact of contribution.
In 1975, Richard Steinberg, MD left the hustle and bustle of New York, embarking west with the dream of providing competent care to the underserved area of Woodburn and its surrounding communities. What sets Dr. Steinberg apart is his willingness to ensure care in spite of how healthcare is changing all around. His mission was and continues to be service: service to all, regardless of one’s economic footing. Dr. Steinberg has spent over 40 years serving the Woodburn and surrounding areas, and he is still going strong. We’re proud to have him at Woodburn Pediatric Clinic.
